Beware of excessive sweating

Sweating is a normal thing experienced by all people, because the average person has two to four million sweat glands which operates every day. But if the production of excessive sweat, you need to be aware of specific health problems.

Sweat serves to control the temperature of the human body, so it is very important. But sweat can become abnormal if too much and you're not in the condition that triggers the production of sweat, such as exercise.

"Generally, men tend to produce sweat which is two times more than women, where it is still normal," said David M. Pariser, MD, a dermatologist, as written Self, Tuesday (19/02/2013).

But you need not worry if armpits are always wet all the time or even the palms of hands or soles of your feet wet with sweat, even if you're not stressed, the weather is not hot, or not exercising. You may need to consider to see a doctor.

These conditions may be signs of hyperhidrosis, also known as excessive sweating. Hyperhidrosis affects about 205 million people around the world.

Dr. Pariser said that it is a skin condition that should be treated medically. The first time is needed by the patient hyperhidrosis is calm, because the more he was restless, sweat production can be increased by four to five times.

If you feel bothered or are not confident because of this condition, use antiperspirant. But most people mistakenly by applying antiperspirant only in the morning only, but you also need to apply it before bed.

In fact, despite the lower production of sweat in the evening, would be more effective antiperspirant into the pores and prevent excessive sweating in the morning when you do a lot more motion than in the evening.

Antiperspirant is also not only available to the armpits, but can also be used in other areas such as sweaty hands, behind the knees, and groin. But ask the advice of a dermatologist before choosing antiperspirant that is not too sensitive to the other parts of your skin.

If antiperspirant obtained at pharmacies are not too powerful to overcome excessive sweating, there are still some ways to treat it, including prescription antiperspirants, Botox injections, treatment with microwaves, or if it is really severe to require surgery
